HOFER Shopping Centre Ig is conceived as a compact and efficient commercial building in which retail areas, customer circulation, service access and supporting programmes are organised within a clear functional structure. The architectural concept responds to the requirements of a contemporary retail facility while establishing a recognisable presence within its local context.
The architecture is defined by a simple, clearly articulated volume and a disciplined façade composition. Large glazed areas mark the public entrance and establish visual connections between the retail interior and the exterior, while solid façade surfaces provide a calm background for the commercial programme. Carefully proportioned horizontal elements, canopies and changes in material give depth to the elevations and reduce the perceived scale of the building.
