Sport Centre Dobrepolje is conceived as a contemporary public sports facility with a clear functional organisation and efficient circulation for athletes, visitors and supporting programmes. The architectural concept brings the different activities together within a compact and legible structure, while creating a strong relationship between indoor sports spaces and the surrounding outdoor areas.

The architectural expression is based on clearly defined volumes, a regular structural rhythm and a restrained material palette appropriate to the robust character of a sports building. The façade combines solid and transparent surfaces to bring natural light into the interior and to establish visual connections with the surrounding public space. Carefully articulated entrances and changes in façade depth give the building a recognisable civic identity without unnecessary formal complexity.
